Anti Rani Protest

There have been Angry protests in Varanasi a day after police lathicharged fans and onlookers watching the shooting of Rani Mukherjee's film.

Bollywood actor Rani Mukherjee has surely lost some of her popularity in Varanasi - till September 29 they were Rani's fans, now they are her bitter critics.

And to show their change of heart they put out an effigy of Rani Mukherjee through a mock funeral that too with all the ritual - on the ghats of the Ganga.

So far the people knew Rani Mukherjee as top film heroine. But after her rough behaviour yesterday with the media and the people of Varanasi, they beg to differ.

They say their protests won't end unless the entire crew accompanying Rani, apologises to them. But why are they angry.

It all started at the shooting of Rani Mukherjee's film on Monday September 29. It seems so much glamour, dance and song on the ghats of the Ganga was too good for Rani mukherjee's fans. Eager to catch a closer glimpse, fans broke the security cordon inviting a police lathi charge, and Rani was certianly not impresses.

While She's back on the shoot - her fans are yet to forget and move on.
